Traveling with Kids

Tips, Trips, and fun little clips exploring the world with kids

Strap up the Kids and Go

Once upon a time I was a single woman who traveled often and enjoyed seeing the country and the world and got great delight out of a temporary change of scenery. One day I met a man who became my boyfriend and then my fiancée and eventually my husband and he was more than happy and willing to embark upon travel adventures with me. Hand in hand, we explored exciting locales like Palm Springs, Vegas, Belize, and Cyprus and created a mental list of other places we were itching to visit. But before we could really satisfy that itch, two became three and three became four.

We knew that travelling fulfilled us but the anxiety and sleep deprivation of early parenthood stifled our imagination, barring us from seeing how we could travel with small children and still enjoy ourselves. Until one day we decided, the heck with it. We were going to strap up the kids and get moving again. And here we are: embracing the now, adjusting, and traveling with kids.

Really cool format and what a great graphic. This site is really relaxing! Nice change from those over flashy parent sites. I only crave calm at the end of the day! Site is very relaxing and just what you need when considering travel with kids. Can I get an Amen?!

Tina,
Look under the Preparing for a day trip page to watch a video. I’ll be adding more in the next week. I took my 5 year old on a cruise when he was 2. Fun, fun, fun!

This is really interesting. I have been wondering how to get travel in with all the different obligations. Glad to see that you have been able to achieve it. Gives em the extra nudge to plan ahead adn try to see those places I have always wanted to see. I like the writing style also.
