We went up to New Jersey to visit my best friend and her family and were VERY lucky on the turnpike to not encounter traffic. Part of that “luck” had to do with leaving earlier than the rest of the people traveling in the MidAtlantic to get to New York for 4th of July. Sundays on the turnpike are a horror but holidays are plain torture and an inhumane act for your young children. (Ok, maybe I’m being a little dramatic but you get my point. If you plan to travel on it, do it early).
Once we arrived we were very happy to get out of the car. In this clip I show you what we packed for our weekend stay with our pals. I’ve learned the bigger your bags or in this case, the bigger your trunk, the more stuff you find to put in it. One thing I can say is we didn’t have a need for anything forgotten.
I apologize for my dig at minivans. There are some very nice ones out there that I’ve eyed. I still haven’t figured out my preference for the less practical design of crossovers and trucks. Our candid videos are proof of our need for a director and editor because anything is likely to come out of our mouths, especially mine. Hey this is all unscripted and raw, just like life with kids.
